Carotid Atrery Surgery

The carotid arteries are two big blood vessels that provide a major portion of blood flow to the brain. In case of blockages, surgery may be needed. The objective is to improve blood flow to the brain and to minimize the risk of  a stroke. There are a few  treatment options including a straight forward open procedure. Minimally invasive balloon angioplasty is often combined with the placement of structural support to the vessel called a stent. Any established vascular department in Poland performs that kind of procedures.
