Femoral Bypass and Angioplasty
Femoral bypass surgery which purpose is to circumvent a blocked femoral artery and improve blood flow to the leg. Femoral bypass is an open procedure. In some cases angioplasty may give satisfying results. In angioplasty a balloon catheter is inserted into the vessel and by inflating the balloon the vessel is widened allowing blood to flow more freely again. Any established vascular department in Poland performs that kind of procedures.
