Aortic Aneurysm
Aortic aneurysm is a malformation of the main artery of the body: the aorta. It often includes a widening and weakening of the aortic wall. The main risk is unexpected rupture which leads to massive internal bleeding. Without a quick diagnosis and an immediate surgical treatment, this disease usually ends up with a quick death. Because of that this procedure is performed as a preventive measure. Surgical interventions include minimally invasive placement of structural stents or open repair of the diseased part of the aorta. Any established vascular department in Poland carries out that kind of procedures.
