Pace Makers
A pacemaker is implanted if the heart beats too slowly or irregularly. Pacemaker is a miniature electrical catheter attached to a small battery and aggregate. The catheter is placed and anchored in a certain location within the heart. The aggregate is usually implanted next to the clavicle bone under the skin. The procedure is a minimally invasive procedure and can be performed under local anesthesia with mild sedation. This is considered a standard procedure and is performed even in smaller hospitals without a cardio-vascular or cardiology department.
