Diagnostic Tests
Diagnostic test are very important in heart surgery. In Poland diagnostic tests can be conducted before and after a surgery. We separate invasive and non-invasive diagnostic tests and these include for example:
Non-invasive tests:
Electrocardiogram; Chest X-ray, Echocardiography, Computer Tomography, Exercise Stress Test.
Invasive tests:
Blood Tests, cardiac catheterization (angiography), transoesophageal echocardiography.
These tests are often done before patient travels to have a treatment.
There may be a need to do some of these tests after you come or post-operatively. Our surgeons will advise you what kind of tests would you need. These are standard tests and any hospital doing cardiac surgery is performing them.
