Implants
A dental implant is a replacement for a natural root and commonly it is screw or cylinder shaped. Each implant is placed into a socket drilled at the precise location of the intended tooth and is carefully screwed into the prepared site. The main purpose during installation of any implant is to achieve immediate close contact with the surrounding bone. The implant then integrates with the surrounding bone and can be used to attach crowns, bridges or dentures.
