Knee Revision

Knee revision is the removal of a previously implanted knee and implantation of a new knee prosthesis. Knee revision may be performed because of mal-alignment of the original knee implant, loosening of the original implant or when the implant causes pain while moving. Generally this procedure is more complicated than the first implantation and requires a specialist orthopedic surgeon.
