Hip Revision

Hip revision is a removal of a previously implanted hip and implantation of a new hip prosthesis. Indications for a hip revision may include mal-alignment of the original hip implant, loosening of the original implant or when the implant causes pain while moving. Hip revision is not as easy as the first implantation and requires a specialist orthopedic surgeon.
