Hip Resurfacing
Hip resurfacing procedure is more bone saving because the head of the femur is not completely removed. Instead of removing it is reshaped to receive a ball type metal implant which will fit into an acetabular cup implant. Stem will not be implanted into the femoral shaft. This procedure is reccomended for patients under the age of 55.
